In an official communiqué that was released on Monday, July 29, by the International Federation of Football Veterans, the M-square (Matip and Moting) would take part in a lovely initiative to develop football in Africa.

The cleats that Joel Matip donned in the UEFA champions league triumph against Spurs and Jerseys of Choupo-Moting from Shalke 04, PSG, and the indomitable Lions would all be up for grabs in a special evening organised by the International Federation Of Football Veterans. This is to begin on August 3rd in a small city in Paris known as Mitry-Mory.

The auction sale of football equipments would constitute the end of a weekend aimed at those in the diaspora developing football in Africa. It begins on Friday from 6:00 pm in the Novotel hotel in Paris with the presence of former Cameroon internationals – Patrick Mboma (Canal + consultant) and Dorette Elangue, coach of Poissy and President of the Association Of Indomitable Lions.

On Saturday, a tournament of 24 teams from five European countries would take place at the Aulnay-Sous-Bois with the presence of former African internationals, notably the 1990 indomitable Lions quarterfinalist of the world cup. The tournament would be followed by a gala night where the auction sales would be done.

The International Federation Of Football Veterans (IFOFV) is a nongovernmental organisation that was created in 2016 with a double objective of organising tournaments for African communities in Europe and also to help former African professionals. Paris is the fourth venue after Brussels (2016), Düsseldorf (2017), and Liege (2018).
