Barely days after this Pan-African Sports News Agency reported Joel Etogue’s imminent departure from UMS of Loum, Cameroon midfield metronome Joel Etogue is heavily-linked with a move to a handful of Clubs in the country including Fovu of Baham.
Kick442.com understands Eding Sport de la Lekie, Colombe of Dja and Lobo, Astres of Douala and Fovu of Baham have all opened a chase for the signature of the 29-year-old former Little Foot FC of Tiko holding midfielder.
According to our sources Fovu of Baham are better-placed to secure Etogue’s services after capturing coach Olivier Nankam on Wednesday.
Coach Nankam and Joel Etogue won the 2015 Cup of Cameroon in Joel’s second season in Loum and worked together for another season before the gaffer left.
The double Cameroon Champion with UMS has been at the Club for six years winning the three trophies and securing four runners-up finish in the Elite One championship, Cameroon Cup and the Super Cup.
Earlier this window, Etogue’s old time colleague Willy Nnameji joined Fovu of Baham on a deal worth 2Million FCFA.
The midfielder’s knowledge of the Cameroon Elite One championship explains the need for his services by multiple Clubs.
