The population of Tiko will never forget the quality displayed by teenage sensational left back, Joel Achu Mbeng from CINYODEV FA.
Looking fully focused before kick off, coach Ndip Ben may never regret picking the boy to play as a left back against LIFCA in Sunday’s Cup of Cameroon playoffs game.
CINYODEV FA surprised many neutral fans with their 2-1 win over favourites LIFCA but to many at the Tiko Town Green Stadium there was a new teenage sensation that stole the show in the left back position, Joel Achu Mbeng.
The left back’s tactical and technical display on the day was a joy to watch.
On his debut at 15,the boy who has been at CINYODEV FA since the age of nine showed the maturity of an already established full back.
He introduced himself to the public in the 22nd minute of the game when he nutmegged two LIFCA players within 30 seconds.
The full back continued with total dominance in his wing position. He made very good runs and recoveries with some great crosses on multiple occasions within the 90 minutes.
Achu completed his job on the day with a wonderful solo goal that won the game for CINYODEV FA.
Speaking at full time, the lad said hardwork made it possible for him to put up such a great performance.
“I want to thank everyone that has been involved in my development ,I have worked so hard while waiting to join our first team, it happened today, I give all glory to God” Achu stated.
Achu reminded the Tiko public of the good old days of Laurent Etame Mayer for Cameroon and Arsenal.
The lad is definitely one for the future especially given he can play as a holding midfielder, right back and in the Central defense.
Coach Nicolas Asongu of the national football Academy, coach Ndip Ben Ntui of CINYODEV and the Academy coach of CINYODEV FA Felix Chukwu all had positive comments about the lads performance.
