Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo has emerged as Rangers Football Club Young Player, and Goal of the Year winner, can report.

On Friday, the 24-year-old former Staines, and Charlton Athletic player was so honoured as he put up a wonderful performance in his debut season for Rangers.

It was a superb debut campaign for Aribo – he netted nine goals in 48 appearances, with one of those goals also winning him the Goal of the Season prize.

His strike against Braga was incredible and helped the Gers on their way to the Last 16 of the UEFA Europa League.

According to the award list on the club’s website,, Ryan Jack was also named as Rangers’ Player of the Year for season 2019/20.

Jack, 28, was an outstanding performer last campaign, making 40 appearances and netting five goals along the way.

He was presented with his award at the Rangers Training Centre this week by the manager, Steven Gerrard, and sponsor Gary Brown of GGK Contracts.

Alfredo Morelos emerged as the club’s highest goal scorer for the season.
His 29 strikes were a massive part of the club’s season, most notably in Europe, where he netted six goals in the six Europa League Group Stage matches.

Women’s Player of the Year Award went to Clare Gremmel.
She was an outstanding performer for the Women’s first-team over the last year and will be looking to kick-on with the side when their football resumes in the coming months.

18-year-old Nathan Patterson won the Academy Player of the Season.
He made his debut for the Light Blues in January’s Scottish Cup win over Stranraer and was a key performer in the UEFA Youth League with his Academy teammates.

Rangers FC finished second behind Celtic after the cancellation of the 2019-2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020-2021 season will kick off on Saturday, with Rangers traveling to Aberdeen in their first game of the season.
