Jerome Onguene has had a successful season with Austrain giants Red Bull Salzburg with the Cameroonian international winning a domestic double this season.
The 21 year old Cameroonian defender won the Austrain Bundesliga and the Austrain Cup with Red Bull Salzburg in a remarkable season since joining the club on loan.
The former Sochaux defender played 13 matches , scored 3 goals and assisted twice for the 13 time Austrain champions who have held on to their domestic title since 2014 .
Jerome helped Salzburg to a comfortable finish in the league and also played an important role as his club clinch their 6th Austrian Cup.
The former France youth international was loaned to RB Salzburg on August 31st 2018 and later moved permanently to Salzburg from Vfb Stuttgart and has been outstanding in the game.
He has become a regular at the Red Bull Arena and pivotal at Salzbourg’s defence.
Jerome Onguene had been called up for international duties with Cameroon twice and made his debut in October 2018 during an afcon qualifying match against Malawi in Yaounde.
He is among a provisional list of players called up by Clarence Seedorf ahead of the 2019 Africa cup of nations in Egypt next month.
