Dynamo of Douala have produced one of the shockers of match day 11 of the Cameroon League 2 championship.
The Littoral outfit rallied to score twice in the last 20 minutes to carry the day.
Astres of Douala got to a flying start but inadequate exploitation of their chances was their undoing on the day.
The boys of coach Anicet Mbarga Foe scored in the 14th minutes through Engelbert Abena Messina.
Christian Deugoue took a 39th minute penalty but goalkeeper Rostand Youthe saved it to keep the score at 1 nil for Astres.
Both sides even each other for the rest of the first half and two minutes of additional time.
Dynamo made a double substitution before the start of the second segment with one of the substitutes Jeremie Komby Ndedy being the match winner.
The impact of the double substitution from coach Jean Pierre Muth will be felt in the last 20 minutes.
Dynamo’s approach didn’t change in the first 20 minutes of the second half as their possession style wasn’t taking the ball to the final third.
Against the run of play in the 68th minutes, Dynamo’s Jeremie Komby Ndedy picked a a fine cross from Yvan Sinkot and sent the ball pass goalkeeper Astres’ Nzogue Desire for the equalizer.
The goal brought new life into the Dynamo into Dynamo with Astres restricted to breaks on the counter.
Christian Deugoue took a 70th minutes dangerous free kick but wasted it.
Ndedy benefitted from a fine 84th minutes to double his tally on the day and give Dynamo a 2-1 lead.
Astres of Douala were visibly struggling with fatigue and could not energize enough to mount a come back.
Dynamo held on to their lead and picked all three points on offer.

The goals take Jeremie’s season tally to four goals and his moves in amongst the lead scorers in the league this season.
