The is a fresh atmosphere of excitement in the camp of Swiss Super League side Young Boys Berne as their lead scorer in the past three seasons has returned to training for the first time in seven months.
Jean Pierre Nsame who suffered achilles tendon rupture problem deep into the title winning 2020-2021 season has recovered and returned to training on Thursday.
The 28-year old Cameroonian was spotted at the Club’s training with the rest of the first team squad.
The absence of the forward has penalized the Albi-based side, especially in the ongoing season.
Nsame who scored 26 goal in all competitions last season and 19 in the Swiss top-flight championship during the 2020-2021 before his injury in May. He has had to watch helplessly as his club lose grip in the League title race.
The latest development puts Nsame back in contention for the 2021-2022 season.
Nsamé only moved to Young Boys Berne two years ago from FC Servette, on a five-year-deal.
In all, Nsamé who is rated at €5 Million according to Transfermarkt has scored 98 goals, providing 21 assists in 168 games for the Swiss Super League Champions.
Nsame is a full Cameroon international with one cap for the five-times African champions dating back to September 2017.
