It’s a week to the start of the 2021 Total Energies African Cup of Nations Tournament in Cameroon.
The 33rd edition of Africa’s flagship tournament will kick-off from January 9 and run to February 6 2022 across six host venues in Cameroon, hosting for the second time after a 50-year wait.

Indomitable Lions camp bubbles
Over 25 players of the 28 selected by coach António Conceiçao for Cameroon passed the crossover night at the team’s AFCON 2021 camping facility at the Mondi complex in the peripherals of Yaounde-Cameroon.
It could be a full house by the end of Tuesday.

Guinea Bissau have written to inform it’s Cameroon counterpart about it’s desire to have the warm up game between both nations due to player’s unavailability.

Malawi, Ethiopia succeed in friendlies
Malawi intensified their preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Tournament with a 2-1 win over fellow participants Comoros on Friday. Elsewhere in Cameroon, Sudan were victims of Ethiopia’s free scoring football. The former were beaten 3-2 in a match which marked the first during their preparations period in Cameroon.
Mauritania and Burkina Faso separated goalless in another warm up game.

Burkina Faso planning to spoil Cameroon’s party
One of the lead defender of the Burkina Faso team Issoufou Dayo has revealed his side is targeting a win in the opener against Cameroon and eventually win the AFCON.
We will target a win in our first game but most-important we will go in with the approach of one game at a time,” the 30-year old defender made the comments in a recent interview.
2013 AFCON finalist, Burkina Faso are currently in Dubai to prepare for their opening fixture of the 2021 AFCON against hosts Cameroon and the rest of the tournament.

Tiko drowns in AFCON preparations
Tiko, the gateway town into the Southwest Region is making the most of the coming of the AFCON to the region. The Town’s Municipal Authorities have made available a new Restaurant, created a fan zone amongst other innovations to prepare for the tournament. Mali, Mauritania, the Gambia and 2004 winners Tunisia will be lodged in group F in the Southwest.

Free Visas for Foreigners
