Super Falcons forward, Ebere Orji has sent a goodbye message to her Swedish Damallsvenskan side, Linkopings FC at the end of her contract which was not extended by both parties.
It is now clear that Ebere Orji, 27, is leaving Linkopings FC after the expiration of her contract.
“It was a great honour playing for Linköpings FC. I am proud to be on the club record list as a player who once played in the Club. I thank all the administrators, fans, teammates, and coaches for the confidence they have had in me. I hope someday we can all meet together again. Thank you.” says Ebere Orji on Linkopings FC’s website.
Ebere Orji came to Linköpings FC before the 2020 season from Umeå IK FF in Elitettan. She started strong and scored six goals in the OBOS Damallsvenskan. In July, she was named Player of the Month in OBOS Damallsvenskan.
“Ebere made a strong start to the season and she contributed strongly to our great start. However, we have agreed with Ebere not to extend the agreement. Ebere is a fantastic person with a big heart and always a smile on his face, we thank her for her great efforts in LFC and wish her great luck in her continued career.” says Club Director Frida Andersson.
The development leaves Linkopings FC with two Super Falcons players in Uchenna Kanu and Chinasa Uchendu.
