Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has impressed many with his blistering start to life in the French top flight with Lille.
After Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea in the English Premier League, Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have joined the clubs queueing for his signature.
Inter’s Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona. As a result, the Lombardy club have set their sights on Lille’s Nigerian forward as a potential replacement, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter have also lined up potential moves for Manchester United’s French forward Anthony Martial, Real Madrid’s out of favour Serbian forward Luka Jovic as well as Leipzig’s German striker Timo Werner should Lautaro leave.
21-year-old Victor Osimhen has not hidden his desire to play for a top club, but he has also made it clear that he will not make a move to for the numbers. He has clearly stated guarantee of playing time as a precondition for a move.
The former Wolfsburg forward joint Lille in the summer from Charleroi for €12 million and is tied to the Dogues till June 2024.
He has scored 18 goals in 38 games across all competitions for Lille this season, including 13 in 27 French Ligue 1 appearances.
