On loan at French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco with the option to buy him from Leicester City, Algerian international forward Islam Slimani is desired by his former employers, Sporting Lisbon.
Sporting now know how much they will have to spend to secure the services of the 31-year-old Algerian international forward.
According to reports from A Bola, Sporting will have to splash out €10 million to get the player.
Slimani’s current contract with Leicester City runs until June 2021.
AS Monaco do not want to make the loan move for the striker permanent, while Leicester on their part consider him to be surplus to requirements at the King Power Stadium.
Slimani is likely to return to Sporting where he had a previous spell from 2013 to 2016, playing 82 league games and scoring 48 goals.
The former JSM Chéraga and CR Boulouizdad forward has been in fine form since joining Monaco.
He has scored nine goals in 19 games across all competitions for Monaco this season. He has formed a very potent partnership with French international striker Wissam Ben Yedder.
