On loan with AS Monaco from Leicester City for the 2019-2020 season, Algerian forward Islam Slimani’s long-term future looks to be away from the Principality club.
The Algerian has always planted doubts over his future with the French Ligue 1 outfit, he could return to England in the months ahead.
According to reports from Leicester Mercury, the English Premier League club doesn’t have the intention to keep the Algerian. His current contract with Leicester expires in June 2021.
Going by reports from O Jogo, Slimani’s former club Sporting Lisbon are considering a move for him. Slimani played for Sporting from 2013 to 2016 before joining the Foxes.
He has scored 9 goals in 19 league games for Monaco this season.
