National FC of Garoua and Olympique of Meiganga have played a two all tie in the first match of Pool A in the ongoing 2022 interpools.
National FC came from behind to level scores after going down by two goals in the 37th minute of play.
In the first half of the match, Olympique of Meiganga dominated control of the ball as they imposed their playstyle against National FC of Garoua.
As National struggled to have control of the ball, Olympique of Meiganga opened the scores in the 20th-minute play through Oumarou Herman with a sublime finish.
Oumarou Herman then scored again from the penalty spot to double the lead for Olympique of Meiganga.
Their second goal brought more life to the playstyle of National FC of Garoua. In additional time, Bakai Amrakai headed home a cross from a free kick to reduce the scores.
A minute later, Stanislas Madi came close to equalizing but his shot was off target.
In the second half, National FC started the better side as they got the equalizer just 6 minutes into the half. National FC’s team captain Issa Fadil delivered the cross that was scored by Stanislas Madi.
Both teams created several scoring opportunities but they failed to concretize their actions.
