Super Eagles of Nigeria forced host Ukraine to a 2-2 draw at Dnipro in their first match since finishing third at the last African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Egypt 2019.
Nigeria surrendered a 2-0 lead in a space of two (2) second half minutes to settle for 2-2 draw. Glasgow Rangers player, Joe Aribo scored on his debut for Nigeria in the 3rd minute after brilliant work from Boudeux winger, Samuel Kalu who Mastermind an assist for Alex Iwobi to locate Joe Aribo.
In the 34th minute, Samuel Kalu was fouled by Ukraine defender to hand Nigeria a penalty. Lille forward, Victor Osimhen converted the spot kick to put Super Eagles 2-0 up.
Nigeria had a 2-0 half time lead.
In the 78th minute, Manchester City player, Oleksandr Zichenko gets a goal for Ukraine and immediately in the 79th minute Roman Yaremchuk scored for the host although the goal should have been ruled put for a handball. Ukraine scored a late goal that was ruled out for an offside.
