Sources have confirmed that three (3) time African Champions Nigeria will take on five (5) time world champions Brazil in an international friendly in October.

The Super Eagles were involved in a friendly with Ukraine on September 10 at the Dnipro Arena which ended 2-2 and the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that it will make use of all FIFA free windows for the Nigerian National Team.

The friendly is meant to keep the Super Eagles in shape for the upcoming 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers and the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

Reports also have it that the Nigeria/Brazil encounter will take place at the National Stadium of Singapore on October 13, 2019.
It will be a star studded encounter as the likes of PSG star Neymar Junior, Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, England based on Goalkeepers Ederson and Alisson Becker on parade for Brazil.

Nigeria will also feature rave of the moment Victor Osimhen, Villareal star Samuel Chukwueze and midfield maestro Oghenekaro Etebo.

The last time that Super Eagles played against the Samba Boys of Brazil was also in an international friendly match at National Stadium, Abuja, now Moshood Abiola Stadium where Nigeria lost 3-0 to current Copa America Champions.

Nigeria have defeated Brazil at age grade competitions. Notably was the 1996 Atlanta Olympics game football event semi final where Nigeria defeated a star studded Brazilian side by coming back from 3-1 Dow to secure a 4-3 win before winning the Gold medal match by beating Argentina.

Super Eagles and her coach Gernot Rohr will hope to fine tune tactics with this friendly as well as make players blend together.
