As part of their preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship on home soil, the intermediate Lions of Cameroon have picked up an impressive 6-1 victory against local side APEJES of Mfou in a warm-up game at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo-Cameroon.
Martin Ntoungou Mpile’s team shared the goals across after a well-taken penalty from Yannick N’djeng put them ahead.
Marius Ngon A Tiati added APEJES’ woes with a brace just like teenage substitute Ondoa Edima Franck who came off the bench to score twice and assist.
APEJES’ Bryan Soga completes the list of scorers in an afternoon to forget for APEJES of Mfou who were missing some of their key players.
It is the fourth win in a spin for coach Mpile’s team and in that time they have scored 13 goals and conceded once.
The Lions will continue preparations at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo and face Stade Renard at the Japoma Stadium on December 26th.
Cameroon are in pool A of the African Nations Championship alongside Mali, Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe.
The host kick-start the 16-nations sixth edition of the CHAN on January 16th against Zimbabwe and the competition is expected to run till February 7th across four cities in the country.
Cameroon has at least three international friendlies next month in prelude to the competition.
