18 year old Liberian shot stopper Ashley Williams, made headlines last Sunday, when he produced a piece of genius in the dying minutes of their world cup qualifier against Sierra Leone, to qualify the Lone Stars for the next round of qualifiers.

Sierra Leone was awarded a 94th minute penalty at the Freetown stadium, but the young Goalie choose the right way, as he dived to his left, and stopped Umarou Bangura’s kick.

Ashley Williams saves Bangura’s penalty

Following his heroics, the LISCR FC man has now received the sum of $5,000 from JOS Traveling agency, as reward for his monumental save.

As Umarou Bangura came under attack from Sierra Leone fans, Ashley Williams is still making headlines and probably money from that fine save. If he keeps saying penalties, then he will definitely get more alerts in his account.

Williams will be hoping to carry on with his fine form, in the next round of qualifiers.
