Iniabasi Aniefiok Umotong’s 15th-minute penalty was enough to help her English Women Championship side, Lewes FC to a 1-0 win over Champions, Leicester on Sunday.
Ini Umotong who joined Lewes FC from the Swedish Damallsvenskan side, Växjö scored her fifth goal for the English side as they defeated Leicester.
The victory ensured that Lewes FC maintained their fifth position on the table with 28 points from 19 games.
Umotong scored two goals for Lewes FC against London City Lionesses, and a goal each against Charlton, and Blackburn.
She also scored a goal as Lewes FC suffered a 1-2 defeat to Southampton in the English Women’s FA Cup last weekend.
Lewes FC’s final Championship game will be against Crystal Palace on May 2, 2021.
