Lewes FC forward, Ini Umotong has been nominated for FA Women’s Championship player of March 2021.
Ini Umotong was nominated alongside Coventry City defender, Hayley Crackle; Leicester City forward,
Jane Natasha Flint; and Liverpool midfielder, Niamh Fahey.
Iniabasi Aniefiok Umotong joined Lewes FC from Swedish Damallsvenskan side, Växjö in 2021 after a previous stint with Brighton and Oxford United.
She scored four goals for Lewes FC including two in March 2021.
Two goals against London City Lionesses on February 14, 2021, were followed by a goal each against Charlton and Blackburn in March 2021.
Lewes FC ended the 2020/2021 English Women’s Championship season with a fifth-place finish which ensured that they miss out on promotion into the top flight English Women Super League (WSL) as Champions, Leicester Women picked the sole ticket.
They will play Southampton in the English Women FA Cup on April 18, 2021.
