The head coach of the indomitable lions of Cameroon Rigobert Song Bahanag, has made public a list of 25 home based players who will take part in a training camp later this month.
The players are expected to take part in a training camp that will run from the 23rd to the 27 May in Yaounde. The list is made up of 24 players who are plying their trade in the Cameroon MTN Elite one championship, with the exception of Mfe Nanga Romeo, who has been selected from Nyabewa Academy, a club in the Nyong and Mfoumou (Akonolinga) divisional league of the centre region.
Rigobert Song has gone in for three goalkeepers, amongst whom is Souleyman Souleyman of Eding sport, who has had a fantastic run in the first phase of the Elite one championship.
Eight defenders have been selected, with Fogning Sidoine of YOSA earning a place.
Former captain of PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda, now in the books of Eding sport Louis Mbah, has been selected amongst the nine midfielders.
A five man attack, has Elite one top scorers Mojahoun Apam of APEJES and Kaaba Junior of Fauve Azur.
Cotonsport’s duo of Souaibou Marou and Patient Wasou Goue, are in the list, but are already familiar with the national team milieu after they were part of the squad that grabbed a world cup ticket against Algeria in March.
