Medeama FC central defender Daniel Egyin has called on the clubs to consider salary increase rather than their thinking of pay cut in this crucial moment.
The former Sekondi Hasaacas and Bechem united bulky defender believes we are in difficult times that the footballers find it rather difficult to fend for themselves and their families therefore it is needless for any club to think about pay cut.
“There is no need for footballers to accept pay cut in Ghana at this difficult moment. This is rather the time for the club owners to increase salaries for players.
The players are no more entitled to wining bonuses due to the covid19. We are paying electricity bills now and it is not easy taking care of our family members at these difficult times.” Daniel Egyin disclosed to Spice 91.9 FM.
There has been a widespread talk among some clubs over possible pay cut due to the hardships the Covid- 19 has brought on clubs.
Clubs such as Asante Kotoko and few others have agreed on pay cut terms with their players whilst others are still into consideration.
