Nigerian defender, Ijeoma Daniels says staying at a club and country where she is used to is of great advantage to her compared to moving elsewhere where she will have to adapt to a new culture and style of play.
The Galatasaray defender in a chat with www.kick442.com from Turkey says: “I feel very happy joining Galatasaray and I feel that I can continue my stay here in Turkey for now after playing for the likes of Ataşehir Belediyespor, Kireçburnu Spor, İlkadım Belediye Spor, and Adana İdmanyurduspor.
“I am used to the Turkish style of play and enjoying life here. The main focus now is to play well for my team and help them do well in the league. Offers from other clubs will surely come, but I won’t let that distract my game and focus to help my team do well in the league.”
Ijeoma Daniels joined Galatasaray last year and signed a year deal with the Turkish club in November 2021.
She has played for Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Abia Angels as well as Invincible Angels of Gboko.
The defender later moved to Ivory Coast where she spent three years playing for Juventus de Youpongon and Lahor Essor Abidjan before moving to Turkey.
