Evelyn Ijeh’s Hacken has won the 2020/2021 Svenska Cupen title after defeating Super Falcons duo of Halimatu Ayinde and Ngozi Okobi-Ekeoghene’s Eskilstuna United 3-0 in the final on Thursday.
After a barren half-time score-line, Filippa Angeldal scored the opening goal of the game for Hacken in the 56th minute at the Bravida Arena (Gothenburg).
Stina Blackstenius in the 70th minute doubled Hacken’s lead before Pauline Hammarlund made it 3-0 in the 87th minute.
Halimatu Ayinde played for the duration of the game while Ngozi Okobi-Ekeoghene replaced Amanda Nilden in the 82nd minute.
Evelyn Ijeh was an unused substitute for Hacken.
Hacken defeated Rosenberg 1-0 in the semi-final before their 3-0 win over Eskilstuna United in the final.
Eskilstuna United had a 4-2 victory over Umea in the semi-final.
Hacken occupied the fifth position on the Swedish Damallsvenskan table with seven points from four games.
They will play Djurgardens in their next league game on May 17, 2021.
Eskilstuna United on the other hand occupied the sixth position with five points from four games.
They will host Hammarby in their next game on May 17, 2021.
