North African side Tunisia lost an early momentum to lose by 2 points against Poland in their first group game in the IHF Men’s world Championship in Egypt.
The Red Eagles who led at the beginning of the tie saw their lead cut short by the Polish side who pushed the African side to the breaking point.
With the score at 17-17 at the first interval, the Polish grew into the game leaving Tunisia to play catch for most part of the second half.
53 minutes into the game, the European side were three points better than the Africans, a position which seemed a mountain too high to climb.
Tunisia tried a come back, but to no avail as the Polish side remained in their top shape to make sure victory was secured.
At the dead of the game, Jihed Jaballah of Tunisia scored to reduce the deficit to two as the game ended 30 points to 28 points in favour of Poland.
Arkadiusz Moryto of Poland emerged the man of the match with a huge 11 goals scored in the match.
