Egypt were in fine display on Friday to get their third win of the IHF Men’s World Championship against Belarus as they continue to impress.
The host were on top of their game from the beginning of the tie till the end leading by a 7-point advantage as at the first phase of the game.
Egypt scored 21 goals in the first half, their highest since the beginning of the tournament.
Though Belarus shook off their poor start to show a bit of what they could especially after a draw against Argentina, but the 2020 IHF African champions were not ready to falter.
The host rather got better and controlled the tie to win at the end by a 9-point difference.
After this victory, the ‘Pharaohs’ are – for now – atop of main round Group IV with six points.
