One of the African representatives at the Handball world cup going on in Egypt, Dr. Congo were pummeled by Denmark in their second game on Sunday.
Congo had lost their first match against Argentina and were faced with an herculean task to play the 2019 champion of the IHF Men’s world championship, Denmark.
As expected, the Danish team ran over the debutants ending the group D tie 39 points to 19 points.
Congo took an early lead of 2-1, but the Olympic Champions did not waste time to take over the game and before the end of the first half, the game was as good as over.
Denmark continued their grip of the game while Congo played the chasing game.
The African side could join Denmark and Argentina to qualify from the group if they beat Bahrain in the next match.
