Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for his English Premier League (EPL) side, Leicester City but his goal could not hinder his club from 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, on Sunday.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for Tottenham in the 22nd minute followed by a second-half brace from Son Heung-Min.
In the stoppage time, Kelechi Iheanacho made himself some space on the edge of the penalty area and pulled the trigger.
His accurate effort goes off the post into the bottom right corner to reduce his side’s deficit to 3-1.
Iheanacho played the full 90 minutes for Leicester City as he scored his fourth league goal of the season.
Leicester City occupies the 12th position on the league table with 42 points from 33 games and will next play AS Roma in the return leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League semi-final on May 5 with the first leg ending in a 1-1 draw.
