It has been revealed that late Rangers’ International attacker Ifeanyi George’s family is entitled to a multi-million naira insurance compensation package.

This was revealed by Rangers International of Enugu’s chairman, Davidson Owumi according to Tobi Adepoju.

Owumi stated that the insurance package was the benefit that accrued to the player from Rangers International’s ‘Accident Insurance Compensation Scheme’.

“The insurance brokers, Premier Brokers Ltd, have been informed about the untimely death of our player, Ifeanyi George, who died in a ghastly motor accident on Sunday & they have commenced the process to have the life insurance compensation process activated.” Owumi said.

The former Enyimba player, 27, died in a fatal auto accident along the Agbor-Benin Expressway on Sunday while travelling to Lagos after the players were given a break due to the Coronavirus pandemic. George died on the spot alongside his best friend Gabriel Eteka and Rangers B player Emmanuel Ogbu according to ACLsports.

George scored fourteen (14) league goals and five (5) caf confederation cup goals for Rangers International before his death.
