Indomitable Lions of Cameroon goalkeeper and 2002 AFCON winner Idriss Carlos Kameni has agreed a deal to join Djiboutian Champions Arta Solar 7.
The former Espagnol and Fernabahce keeper is set to pen a two-year contract with the Club, switching as a free agent.
It is Kameni’s first contract at any club since leaving Turkey in June last year.
37-year old Kameni will join former Arsenal midfielder Alexandre Song and former Galatasaray defender Danny Nounkeu at the Club.
Kameni who is yet to to announce his international retirement and has won 72 caps for the five times African champions, from which he got 40 wins, draw 13 and has suffered 19 defeats as goalkeeper for country.
The 2000 Olympics Gold medalist and 2002 AFCON winner was in Egypt in the Cameroon squad that was knocked out in the last 16 of the 2019 AFCON tournament.
Considered as one of the most talented shot stopper of his generation, the former Malaga keeper has been top professional footballer in the last 20 years.
The erstwhile Le Havre and Saint Etienne goalkeeper came through the ranks of Kadji Sports Academy.
He has gone on to play over 400 games in an illustrious career and remains open for more.
Solar 7 failed to impress in last year’s CAF Confederation but will represent Djibouti in the CAF Champions League in the upcoming season.
