2020 African Men’s handball championship silver medalist, Tunisia secured a place in the President’s Cup final after beating continental rival Angola on Monday.
A year ago, the North African side had defeated Angola 39:23 to book their place in the final.
It was déjà vu at the New Capital Sports Hall as Tunisia won 34:29 to set a final match against Austria while Angola will play Morocco in Giza in the 29/30 placement match.
The first half saw Tunisia lead three several times, but Angola rallied to come within one at the half-time break (13:14).
In the second half, Angola pushed to equal scores, but a red card shown to Adilson Maneco opened Angola up for the North African side to penetrate easily.
Angola who had almost equalised in the 52nd minutes at 26:27 could only add three points as Tunisia went on rampage to score seven more goals at the end.
The result means DR Congo will play Chile for 27/28 place in New Capital City.
