Nigeria Cricket Team defeated their Ghanaian opponents by 28 runs to record their 2nd win at the ICC Africa T20 Competition in Uganda.
Onikoyi Ademola and Vincent Adeoya both combined well to help Nigeria to victory. Ademola had 49 runs while Vincent Adeoya’s great bowling gave him 4 wickets.
The team which had came bounced back from their loss to Kenya to beat Botswana yesterday, was all over the Ghanaians at a stage of the game but remained focus to win after Ghanians fought back.
The victory was a perfect revenge for Nigeria who surprisingly lost 4 times to Ghana last year at the ICC & ACA events.
The Yellow Greens are third on the log with 4 points behind Kenya and Namibia who sits second and first respectively.
The Nigerian Cricket team have an uphill task as they play Nambia in their next game, tomorrow.
Namibia recently secured a rare ODI status following triumph at the ICC WCL Division Two in Windhoek on April 27, were off to a flyer as they beat Ghana. They have also beaten Uganda and Botswana in the tournament.
In the afternoon, Kenya, who picked an eight-wicket win over Nigeria in a 15-over tie, defeated Uganda in a close tie that ended 1 run.
