Few hours before the round Six AFCON 2019 qualifiers game between Cameroon and Comoros, the Comoros conductor,Amir Abdou has said he wishes that the Gambian referee appointed to handle the game,Papa Gassama is sharp and makes little or no errors “We are here to prepare the match, and try to win the Lions. We lost two points to Morocco, and we lost two points to Cameroon. I hope that we have a referee at the top of his game tomorrow”.
The dig at the referee instantly speaks volumes, though the gaffer was more concerned about the game than the Court of arbitrations concerns about Cameroon loosing their place due to the loss of the AFCON rights.
Amir Abdou nearly got Seedorf In the tactical spiderweb in the reversed fixture, as he and his courageous side gave Cameroon a good run for their money before loosing concentration at the tail end.
The Comoros gaffer knows a win is enough to secure his side a ticket to Egypt 2019 but he has to do it without highest goal scorer, and their lone goal scorer the last time these two met(Fadour Ben Mohammed) who is unavailable for this one due to suspension.
