As speculations linking former Indomitable of Lions Cameroon trainer Hugo Henry Broos grows, this portal has reached out to the 69-year Belgian tactician to discuss chances of seeing him back in the continent due to the vacancy at Berkane.
In a recent telephone conversation with the kick442.com team, Broos confirmed there is interest from the North Africa.
“Yes, RS Berkane has expressed interest. They have been in contact with my representatives. Unfortunately, as you know entry to Morocco from Belgium is currently restricted due to the Covid-19 prevention measures. Lets see how goes.” Broos told kick442.com.
The Club is in the market for a replacement of coach Tarek Sektioui who was sacked last month following a streak of unsatisfactory results.
Amongst the options is Hugo Henry Broos who won the 2017 AFCON tournament in Gabon with Cameroon.
Broos who previously worked in North Africa with JS Kabylie is an experienced trainer with the aptitude to steady the ‘struggling Berkane ship.
The Club’s management is expected to make a decision as soon as possible as games are lined up in a queue.
Berkane who lost away at Cotonsport on Wednesday must quickly sort their situation on the technical bench soonest.
