24 African nations will land on Cameroonian soil in the month of January 2022 for the first ever enlarged competition. With few months left to go, the host country is gradually putting in place the necessary facilities to ensure a hitch free tournament first of its kind on African soil.
Kick442.com presents a picture on how the groups could shape up when the draws are conducted on June 25th 2021.
The recent FIFA rankings for February placed Senegal at the top of African footballing chart trailed by Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon (Host), Ghana, Mali and Burkina Faso.
The republic of Benin and Sierra Leone saw their last group D game postponed to the next FIFA in June 2021 due to Covid-19 scare at the penultimate hour and the winner will integrate the delegation of 24 nations to be drawn in six poles of 4 national teams each.
