Barely days after reports emerged from French outlet L’Equipe stating Olympique Lyonnais is willing to let go 21-year-old sensational Franco-Algerian midfielder, Houssem Aouar, Manchester City have been listed as one of the potential suitors.
The same source say City have made contacts with Lyonnais officials and see Aouar as David Silva’s replacement.
The player can join the English Premier League outfit if they meet president Jean Michel-Aulas’ asking price of €50 Million.
The Lyon native is on contract at the Groupama stadium till the summer of 2022 but the club will not stand on his way if suitor can meet the asking price.
A move to Manchester City will mean the potential Algerian international who has been capped for France at youth categories will link up with Riyad Mahrez who is at the Etihad Stadium and captains the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
Aouar came through the youth set up of Olympique Lyonnais and has amassed 134 appearances for the club from which 24 goals and 24 assists.
He had an impressive 2019-2020 season season recorded nine goals and seven assists from 37 games for Lyon.
A move to England will be the first abroad for a boy also on the Wishlist of Juventus of Turin.
