Officials of the Liquintini hospital in Douala have acknowledged reports of the death Achille Essome Moukouri, but denied reports from Patrick Mboma which stated he was killed by the CoronaVirus infection.
According to a Tweet from CRTV web, the Director of the hospital Dr. Njock Louis Richard is on record to have told CRTVWeb that Achille was a diabetic and had cardiac problems which are the likely cause of his death this Monday.
This comes after former Indomitable Lions forward Patrick Ndem Mboma took to Twitter to called on Cameroonians to embrace the measures to avoid the virus, and announced his uncle had been killed by the virus.
Kick442.com understands Achille Essome died at the Laquintini Hospital in Bonapriso in the Littoral region of Cameroon.
Strange enough medical experts and Mboma who happens to be a member of the family have issued contrary declarations on the cause of the death.
This comes barely hours after Cameroon’s minister of health Dr. Manaouda Malachie confirmed nine new cases of infected persons in Douala, six in Yaounde and one in Bafoussam.
The recent details takes the number of infected persons in Cameroon to 56.
The CoronaVirus has since been declared a global Pandemic by the world health organization with medics busy seeking a cure for the virus.
