The security operatives working at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stadium Bauchi acted swiftly by making sure the coaches, officials, and players of the team were not injured by the hoodlums already arrest have been made by the police and a key member of the management was arrested and some of the hoodlums are already facing interrogations as investigations are going on.

The Head coach of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi Osman Abdallah speaking via a phone call in his words ” I was shocked by the negative development because I don’t have any issues with my management nor players within my team but I think it is just a ploy to distract my team and the good work of the club chairman Alhaji Balarabe Douglas, we have been working as a team and it is unfair certain people within the team are not happy with our progress towards achieving our plans for the new season, everything is under control and we are not letting anything distract our attention but this is bad because the lives of my technical crew members, players and officials were at risk so the relevant authorities should act positively and punish whoever that is behind such ugly incidence”.

Wikki Tourist FC is training ahead of December 6, kick-off date for the 2020-2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). The Bauchi based side according to a tentative fixture released by the League Management Company (LMC), will play Nasarawa United in their opening day fixture.
