After verbal exchanges on social media, Hoga, has completed his thought on prolly turning a boxer and fighting Francis Ngannou.
Hoga’s entourage have acquired the services of experienced boxing trainer Jean – Paul Muyemo to drill their client in view of a possible clash with UFC star Francis Ngannou.
For starters, coach Muyemo trained and left a blue print of boxing in the arsenal of Francis Ngannou’s mix martial arts a couple of years back. With 34 years of experience, coach Muyemo has trained the best in the country including 2017 World boxing title challenger Carlos Takam, admits a queue of others.
The contract signing between Hoga Le Pichichi (athlete) and Jean Paul Muyemo (trainer/instructor) was done at La Sportheque, Akwa – Douala on Thursday.
On the mic of kick442.com, Hoga spoke with a lot of confidence and rage. He attempted to attack any reporter who had a glimmer of doubt in his abilities, gearing towards a possible bout of his life.
‘I choosed coach Muyemo as my trainer because I want all of Ngannou’s secret,’ Hoga told reporters in the press conference.
Whether or not Francis Ngannou, second ranked UFC heavyweight will accept the challenge is a rhetoric.
Ngannou has released a couple of videos on social media, making known his terms for the fight to go on. Most recently, the 33-year-old with a professional MMA record of 15 wins, 3 loses and no draw – said, for the fight to continue, Hoga must trim down on his belly fat.
Petit spats between these two emanated after UFC 249 when Francis Ngannou Technically Knocked Out his opponent Jarzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds. After Ngannou’s stunning performance, Hoga for some reason thought he could take on Ngannou and knock him out within 8 seconds.
Asked about the 8 seconds TKO on Thursday, Hoga replied: ‘I wouldn’t let people pay and leave early. For this reason, I will extend the fight.’
Francis Ngannou is yet to have a professional bout on home soil. The batie native is right up there in the mix for perhaps the best pound – for pound striker on the UFC radar.
Francis Ngannou at this time is however training with compatriot Carlos Takam as a bout with Dillian Whyte looms ever closer.
