After extending the contract of their coach Olivier Guégan, French second tier side Valenciennes have now extended the contract of their Ivorian goalkeeper Hillel Konate.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper whose contract was suppose to end in June this year, has now been given a two-year contract extension.
Konate joint Valenciennes in 2018 from US Boulogne and has been limited to the role of a third choice goalkeeper.
Since 2018 the Sochaux youth product has made just six league appearances for the French club.
Playing a back-up role to Jérôme Prior and Nicolas Kocik, the former Ivorian U-17 International did not feature in a single game in the 2019-2020 season.
Konate was invited into the senior Ivorian national team in 2015 but failed to get a run in the team.
