French Women’s top-flight championship side Soyaux FC have completed the signing of experienced Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon forward Henriette Michel Akaba Edoa.
The former Ataşehir Belediyespor and Beşiktaş J.K. (women’s football) forward spent the second-half of last season on the books of Belarusian side FK Minsk, where she was instrumental in the team’s second place finish in the championship.
Her move to FC Soyaux puts her in the same championship with with compatriots Ngock Yango, Easther Kith, Marie Awona amongst others.
FC Soyaux of coach Laurent Mortsl are currently ranked 10th in the League’s standing with seven points from 11 games.
The arrival of Akaba at the Stade Léo Lagrange, on a one-year deal could be just what the Club needs to start climbing up the table in the 12-Clubs championship.
The Cameroonian forward is setting her targets, to score more goals for the French Club to boast survival chances and chances of a good run in the French cup which begins on January 30th.
Michèle Akaba has been a regular goal scorer wherever she has played.
She returns to heads to France with her ego high and a chunk of experience, haven won the league with Besiktas in Turkey and had spells at Trabzon İdmanocağı in Turkey, FC Energy Voronezh in Russia , Bangkokthonburi SC in the Thailandish women’s first league,plus Cameroon Clubs Canon FF, Louves minproff, Lorema FC and Amazone FAP.
She has also been a regular in the Cameroon women’s national selection since 2010 featuring at six African cup of nations.
