Chinese Super League side Henan Jianye of Cameroon forward Christian Bassogog have suffered their second league defeat in five games this season.
Coach Yang Ji’s team were second best all afternoon in the opening fixture of Match-day five in th Chinese Super.
Henan Jianye accepted a 1-3 defeat against coach Fabio Canavaro’s Guangzhou Evergrande.
For the fifth game this season Bassogog who tested positive for the Corona Virus last week wasn’t in the Henan squad.
A 42nd minute strike from Former Barcelona man Paulinho plus second half a brace from Wei Shihao had just one reply late in the game from Fernando Karanga.
The game ended 3-1 in favor of the visitors who also recorded their fourth win in five this season taking them two points atop.
Bassogog is really missed by Henan. The Club has won a game one of their five games, lost two and recorded a tie in two outings.
Fifth-placed Henan Jianye travels to Shandong Luneng on Wednesday for a match-day six appointment.
It is hope that Bassogog returns soon and improve his Club’s position in an eight-Club group A of the abridged Chinese Super League season.
