Inter Allies first choice goalkeeper Gideon Ahenkorah who is popularly known as ‘kasapa’ has hinted that Hearts of Oak cannot meet the conditions of the Niger striker, Victorian Adebayor.
There are rumours that Hearts of Oak is in advance talk with the Niger International Victorian Adebayor who plies his trade with International Allies to earn his signature into the Phobia family.
But according to former Berekum Chelsea goalkeeper, Gideon Ahenkorah, he thinks it is not possible because Victorian is treated as a professional player and the conditions that he has been put through, there is no way Hearts of Oak can meet it.
“When I hear people say Hearts wants to sign him [Adebayor] I laugh because they can’t meet his conditions.
He is treated as a professional player.
Both his winning bonus and salaries are paid in dollars.
Which player in Ghana will be able to pay about twenty players together with the coaches who went to camp at least GH¢30.00 or GH¢40.00 each after a game from his winning bonus? In fact there are certain things I have to tell you behind the scene. I tell you Hearts cannot meet his conditions.” Ahenkorah told Don Summer on the premier league show of Angel FM’s floodlight
Gideon Ahenkorah added that the players are treated and paid very well at Inter Allies to help them deliver so that alone discourages any player from joining other teams in Ghana.
“We are always treated very well to enable us deliver. We sleep in first class hotels ahead of matches and we are paid well so it is difficult for any player to leave to join any other club in Ghana.” He added
Victorian Adebayor was on top of the Ghana Premier league goal king chat with 12 goals ahead of Yahaya Mohammed with 11 and Prince Opoku Agyemang of Medeama with 10 before the league was suspended due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
