24-year-old Ivorian midfielder Habib Maïga has given a clear indication of where he wants to play his football next season.
The Metz midfielder seems to be happy at the Lorraine based French Ligue 1 outfit.
“Till now the world is still focused on the health situation. So for now I have not been contacted by any other club,” Maïga told Républicain Lorrain.
“Besides, I already said that I was feeling really comfortable at Metz. I intend to stay here.
“Yes I will like to stay here for next season and continue with my development and progress. I am here! In my head I am here.”
Maïga joint Saint-Etienne in 2015 from Metz and had a loan spell with Arsenal Tula in Russia in 2018, followed by another loan move to Metz for the 2018-2019 football season, before the move was made permanent last summer.
The native of Gagnoa in Côte d’Ivoire, has featured in 27 games across all competitions this season, 26 of them with one goal in the French Ligue 1.
