Caiman Filles of Douala has defeated Vision Sports of Bamenda by a goal to zero to move up to 21 points on the classification table while Vision Sports continues to languish in the relegation zone with 7 points.
Coach Kuabam Festus of Vision Sports started the match with an attacking side as he started with Madaki Achick Kezia, Janvnuy Tata, Ndifon Ashley, and Glory Fule.
Caiman Filles dominated the first quarter of the match and created two scoring chances through Saintis Gysignol and Emilienne Endale. Unfortunately, they failed to concretize their chances.
Vision Sports had their first side at goal in the 20th minute of the match from a free kick taken by team captain Shalom Makoma.
Few minutes later, Fule Glory came close to scoring for Vision Sports but she failed to find her feet in the 18 yards area.
Caiman Filles of Douala regained possession of the ball and scored from a controversial corner kick awarded to Caiman by 1st Assistant referee Habibatou Aboubakar in the 34th minute of play. From the resulting corner kick, Virginia Leedjoe scored to give Caiman Filles of Douala the lead.
Upon resumption of the second half, coach Kuabam Festus brought in Mbomtoh Vimum Samira in place of Madaki Achick Kezia.
The substitution added more substance to Vision Sport’s attack as Shalom Makoma, Fule Glory, and Yakadam Noelie all came close to scoring but goalkeeper Diane Nadege Ndema remained vigilant in goal for Caiman Filles of Douala.
Vision Sport has won just two of their 16 games this season, one draw and have suffered 13 defeats, in what has been the team’s worst performance in their three years in the top flight. The team is ranked 11th out of the 12 teams in the Guinness Super League, six points ahead of bottom placed Renaissance of Figuil and nine points behind 10th placed Canon FF.
