Vision Sports FC of Bamenda have defeated Eding Filles of Yaounde 3 goals to zero in their opening day one match of the Guinness Super League.
The girls of coach Kuabam Festus playing away from home at the Annex II of the Ahmadu Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde took just 13 minutes to break the deadlock through team captain Shalom Makoma Ngum.
Despite incursions and pressure from the home side Eding Filles, the visiting Vision Sports FC were able to hold on to their lead for the rest of the first half.
Upon resumption of the second half, it took just two minutes for Shalom Makoma Ngum to double scores for her team.
All attempts from Eding Filles to get back into the match were thwarted by a resilient Vision Sports FC team with the likes of Marly Confidence, Mariane Ines, Cassandra Forsuh, Mavi Assonfack proving their work at the defence and midfield.
At the 66th minutes of play, Sandra Samira Deutsa scored again to give Vision Sports FC a three goals advantage.
All attempts from Eding Filles to get back into the match proved futile as Vision Sports FC secured a comfortable 3 points.
Coach Kuabam Festus and his girls will stay in Yaounde where they will take on Canon Filles on Sunday in match da two of the Guinness Super League before returning to Bamenda.
Last season Canon Filles defeated Vision Sports in the season’s opener 5#2 in Yaounde before Vision did same in Bamenda later that season.
