AS AWA FC has made it five wins in their opening five games of the Guinness Super League, following their latest 5#0 hammering of Authentic FC.
A hat trick from Lamine Mana, plus goals from Farida Machia and captain Owona Mballa Genevieve, did the job for AS AWA FC who have maintained their 100 percent win ratio in the league.
Coach Hassan Balla made two changes from the lineup that walloped Vision Sport 6#0 in Bamenda three days ago, with Nina Nke Nke, and Raissa Ebenye Ebongue, recalled to the starting XI, at the detriment of Mogai Mogai Cecilia and Marly Confidence.
Authentic FC, who had just three points coming into the game, was never going to be a great threat to the defending Champions, and in_form forward Lamine Mana made them pay for their lacklustre defending, as she turned in a beautiful effort from Mbelle Catherine just seven minutes into the game.
The goals were fast coming and Lamine Mana made it two_nil, at the ninth minute of play.
Lamine Mana completed her hat trick at the 38th minute, before Farida notched in AWA’s fourth shortly before the pause.
Kevin Ossol, Elam Ekosso, Matapa Delsir and Georgette Ngo Boum, were all second half substitutes from coach Hassan Balla, as they replaced Farida Machia, Melvis Tantoh, Ebenye Raissa and Brenda Tabe respectively.
Authentic FC looked more tactically discipline in the second segment, but there was still one for the road for AWA, as captain Owona Mballa wrote her name on the score sheet, with just two minutes to spare (88 minute).
With her hat trick, Lamine Mana has now scored eight goals in her last two games, taking her season’s tally to nine goals.
AS AWA FC has won all their opening five league games, and have maintained their top spot, with 15 points, 22 goals scored, and just three conceded.
