Players of the first division women’s football championship dubbed Guinness Super League on Friday,June 24 began receiving their monthly payments, at the headquarters of the Cameroon Football Federation.
Present at the Fecafoot’s head office to fulfilled the necessary financial formalities with the assistance of some representatives from Union Bank of Africa (UBA), were the following clubs; AS AWA FC, Louves MINPROFF, FC Ebolowa, Lekie FF, Eclair FF of SA’A, FAP Amazone. Meanwhile, the players of Eding Sport Ladies received their payments at the University of Yaounde One, Mateco stadium from the UBA Commercial agents.
Back in the nation’s economic capital Douala, the same exercise had been conducted with the players of Caiman FC and Authentic Ladies.
It should be noted that a sum of 50,000 CFAF from Guinness is the amount destined for the players. Fecafoot will add the same amount each month over a year, as subsidiary support to each of the 12 women’s football teams. Meaning, each player of the Cameroon women’s league, will earn a monthly salary of 100,000 CFAF.
The first phase of the Guinness Super League was marked by the award of an honorific prize to the AS AWA FC side,following their brilliant performance of 30 games won in 34 matches and her lead striker Lamine Mana emerging top goalscorer with 11 goals.
