Melanie Zeutsop’s brace was beneficial in the Lekie Football Ladies 2-1 triumph against Eding Ladies, in the game considered to be a Lekie derby in the day five clash of the Guinness Super League on Monday at the Omnisport Annex One Stadium.
The newly promoted Lekie Football Ladies have made know their ambition for this year, which is that of battling hard for a first spot on the league’s classification table.
“We want to thank God first for winning the game’s three points. We were being led in the first half by one nil but thanks to the hard working players, we succeeded in levelling scores and taking the lead.I say congratulations to my players.”
The Lekie Football Ladies succeeded in trashing Eding, thanks to two cute goals from the former Anafoot conscript Melanie Zeutsop, considered to the team’s best forward , with a swift aptitude to deliver her team in difficult moments.
” Our objective for this season is to battle ceaselessly to occupy the first place on the classification table. We know having adversaries like AWA and FAP makes it a daunting task, but we remain positive for the end result. ” He added
“Lekie Football Ladies is a team made up of a set of young and old players on whom we have bestowed our confidence to meet our target, know what is needed to end the competition in a brilliant style. Lekie Football Ladies have moved to the third spot with 10 points. Headed by AWA on 15 and FAP on 11.The day six fixtures of the Guinness Super League, announces to be a herculean one for coach Otele and girls expected to lock horns against League leaders AWA FC.
