Canon Ladies have snatched a 3-1 win against Lekie Football Ladies in the top match game nine of the Guinness Super League(Guinnessico). The game was played on Saturday at the Omnisport Annex One Stadium.
Canon’s three goals were scored by Nnanga Raissa,Kokate and Lontsi. Zeutsop Melanie scored Lekie’s FF lone goal.
The first real chance of the game fell to Raissa Nnanga at the 5th minute, with an opener for Canon via an assist from Edith Bana.
The Lekie defenders Ines Maague and Dibango were into much actions, as the beautiful ball combination between Edith Bana and Raissa Nnanga on the wings were a major challenge for them on several occasions.
27th minutes into the first have came a doubler for Canon by Dorcas Kokate in a stunning shot that left goalkeeper Vanessa Signe wanting.
At the 40th minutes,Angela Megueyep and Melanie Zeutsop combined so well in an effort to reduce score. But Canon’s defender Rosine Nicaise was always there to safe her side from danger.
The best chance for Lekie’s goal fell to Angela Megueyep but out of lack of communication with Melanie Keumedjio, the chanced was squandered in a lose shot.
Coach Otele Benoit substituted Ladifatou Gambe and Angela Megueyep for Nko’o Sophrane and Juderine Yena. But their presence changed the Lekie play style at the midfield.
Lontsi Stephanie took advantage of goalkeeper Vanessa Signe’s poor save, to placed the ball into her cage in a beautiful curler at the 67th minutes for a third goal.
Lekie nursed hopes of scoring until the 79th minutes when, Zeutsop Melanie fired one into Canon’s cage for a puller.
Raissa Nnanga backed home a cash prize worth 50,000CFAF as the Woman Of The Match.
Canon has recorded a third win in eight games and has moved on 10 points. Meanwhile, Lekie Football Ladies have witnessed a fifth lost and remains on 13 points.
