AS AWA FF has beaten Vision Sport of Bamenda 6#0, in one of Day four games of the Guinness Super League. The game was played at the University of Bamenda stadium in Bambili, on Thursday afternoon.
Forward Lamine Mana, was on target five times, plus a Farida Machia header, did the job for Coach Hassan Balla’s side.
Vision Sports came into the game determined to pick their first point of the season, after suffering three defeats in their previous games.
The first real opportunity of the encounter came at the 14th minute, following a beautiful inter_positional play between Tantoh Melvis, Brenda Tabe and Farida Machia, but the latter failed to beat goalkeeper Yaunde Amikeh in a one on one.
AWA FF took the lead at the 23rd minute, when Under 17 Lionesses forward Lamine Mana, headed in a superb delivery Mbelle Catherine.
Goalkeeper Amikeh made some fine saves to deny Lamine Mana from increasing tally, but Farida Machia headed in AWA’s second goal at the 37 minute of play.
Vision Sport made two substitutions before the end of the first half, with Patience Yakam and Glory Fule coming in to replace Madaki Achick and Aseh Sylvie respectively, as AWA went for the pause with a two goals lead.
It took AWA just six second half minutes to increase tally, as Lamine Mana was on the finishing end, to complete a beautiful pass from Marly Confidence.
Lamine Mana completed her hat trick at the 60th minute, shortly before goalkeeper Amikeh of Vision Sport was replaced by Laurese Mafogue. Neris Foncha was also introduced in the place of Munyuh Branley.
For AS AWA, Tabe Brenda and Farida Machia were replaced by Syrielle Mbofewuie and Nina Nke Nke respectively.
Lamine Mana grabbed her fourth goal of the season with a superb header, to finish off a good move from Syrielle Mbofewuie.
Vision Sport failed to trouble goalkeeper Ongmahan Marthe, who was largely on vacation throughout the game.
More panic in Vision Sport’s defense, permitted Lamine Mana to score her fifth of the game, to take her season’s tally to six.
The new defeat means Vision Sport are now winless in their four league games this season, while defending Champions AS AWA FF, continue their flying start to the season.
Vision Sport will next play Louves and Caiman in two more difficult games.
